Dr. Shawna Green, D.C.
The best part about my job is to watch a patient return to the activities they love after an injury or condition has left them without proper joint and muscle function. My goal is to give people customized care that allows them to start moving and taking part in family, recreational and work related activities again.
After completing an honours degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa, I continued my studies at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and graduated in 2004. A move to London in 2009 brought me to Back to Health and I have had the privilege to treat so many wonderful people and offer not only chiropractic care, but also acupuncture, laser therapy and myofascial release therapy.
As a mother of two very active little boys I am particularly busy treating other women who are active and fit as well as pregnant women who want to maintain a healthy spine and a high activity level throughout their pregnancy. In addition to my career as a Chiropractor, I am also a certified STOTT Pilates instructor and I use these exercise principles everyday to help patients regain their strength and postural alignment. I am passionate about Pilates and you can find me teaching group classes at Create Balance Pilates Studio.
Dr. Chris Harvey, D.C.
If we eat healthy and nutritious food, exercise and move our bodies, and think healthy thoughts, we become healthy individuals. This is the Chiropractic lifestyle. I love watching patients learn the lifestyle/philosophy, stop making excuses, and start healing themselves from the inside out!
Dr. Chris Harvey graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October 2010 with his Bachelors of Science as well as his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He uses full spine adjustments, exercise, myofascial release and nutrition to help his patients get back to functioning at their full potential.
"Here at Back to Health, we love helping every person that walks through our doors with personalized care. We will use a prevention and wellness approach to your health, giving you the tools to get and stay healthy! Dr. Spiro Ioannidis, D.C.
Dr. Ioannidis commenced his post secondary education at the University of Western Ontario after being awarded a four year continued Canadian scholastic scholarship. Upon the completion of his studies, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. It was a passion for helping others that was the catalyst which drove Dr. Ioannidis in the direction of the Chiropractic profession. Studying in Dallas Texas at Parker University, he had the privilege of meeting the Founder of Functional Neurology, Dr. Ted Carrick. Thereafter, a passion for the neurology of humankind developed, as such he pursued and obtained a specialty in Functional Neurology following studies at the Carrick Institute. Dr. Ioannidis is one of only 40 Chiropractors in Canada to have obtained Board Certification from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. Upon graduating in the year 2000, he lead a multidisciplinary practice compromised of medical physicians, physical therapists and massage therapists for nearly ten years. The determination to offer patients the best and highest quality of care possible has lead him to further his studies of neurology in several areas including a certification in electro-diagnostic studies. In 2009, pursuing his dream of introducing Chiropractic Neurology overseas, Dr. Ioannidis founded the only Chiropractic Neurology Center in Greece. He had the pleasure of helping numerous patients return to a more functional life after ailing with concussions, strokes, movement disorders, musculoskeletal injuries and childhood cognitive problems to mention a few. Following the birth of his son in 2017, Dr. Ioannidis, his wife and son have returned to his roots in London and he will be proudly serving Ontario.
Dr. N. James Harvey, D.C.
It has been my pleasure and privilege to contribute to the health of thousands of Londoners since 1981. As a graduate of Western University and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College I consider myself a lifelong learner and regularly update my knowledge base and skill set so that I am best able to care for you. I have extensive formal study in the area of Rehabilitative Sciences and I have been certified by The American Board of Forensic Professionals for Impairment and Disability Rating. I also have a special interest in and enjoy providing care to Seniors. This includes Home Visits if necessary.
Every person who enters Back to Health Chiropractic is an individual with their own personal concerns. My goal as your doctor is to listen to your concerns, discuss your options, and then move forward together with make sense, viable solutions. I would be pleased to sit down and consult with you at no charge. If you chose to move forward, our team at Back to Health Chiropractic will make your journey back to health worth your commitment.
Shawn Chapin, R.M.T.
As a 15 year veteran Registered Massage therapist, I have had the pleasure of working with an outstanding team of professionals at the Back to Health Clinic.
My experiences have been many. I have worked with a vast cross section of our community. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of conditions. Some of which include work place injuries, motor vehicle accidents, acute and chronic musculo-skeletal pain conditions as well as sports related issues. Some of my favorite experiences have been working with amateur and professional athletes. In the last few years I have had the opportunity of working with some major shows at Budweiser Gardens, including Riverdance, Cirque Du Soleil Quidam, and most recently the Cirque Michael Jackson show. What an amazing experience to work with Olympians and performers at the highest levels. It is truly gratifying to help performers of this calibre.
But the best part of my job, is working with my regular clients. Whether it’s treating them for an injury, or maintenance treatments, knowing that my work helps improve the quality of their lives, is a very gratifying feeling.
Luke Suhanji, R.M.T, R.H.N
I believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness and it all starts with authentic self care which includes: eating whole foods, exercising, doing what you love, and developing harmonious relationships, including with yourself. Growing up I always had an active lifestyle and it all began when I started playing hockey at the age of four. Throughout my teens I was interested in the culinary arts and later in school I completed a Food and Nutrition Management Diploma and Chef Training Certificate from Fanshawe College, as well as a Natural Nutrition diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Upon graduating and becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I decided to combine my knowledge of food and nutrition with the field of physical therapy and I completed the Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College.
Massage therapy had helped me significantly through a rotator cuff injury I had while playing sports and I felt that it was a therapy that I wanted to provide to clients because it was helpful in not only the physical aspects of health, but also in mental health, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and increase sleep quality which are important aspects to healing and happiness.
Since being in practice I have completed a course in Thai Massage and would love to travel to Thailand in the future to learn more about eastern approaches in physical medicine.
Penny, Chiropractic Assistant
Chiropractors have been a part of my health care team since I was a child, from minor sprains and strains to more significant falls and traumas. I joined Back to Health as a Chiropractic Health Assistant over 16 years ago and I am continually delighted to watch so many patients return to activities they previously could not take part in due to injury or pain. When I am away from the office you can find me cycling or spending time with my family.
Lindsay, Chiropractic Assistant
I am so grateful to be part of a team that truly cares about the whole health and well being of our patients! I am looking forward to continuing to learn as much as possible from everyone at Back to Health.
Outside of the office, I take great joy in raising my children, and going on adventures as often as possible. We love to discover new hiking trails and are especially excited when we discover a new waterfall!
When I have time to myself and am looking to quiet my mind, I can be found working on my pyrography. Wood burning is definitely a passion project and I always feel lighter after making time to work on one of the many projects that are always on the go!
